Speak Out!
Off Limits?

Sen. McCain's wife was pressured to release her tax returns. Sen. Obama's wife has been the target of negative TV ads; Sen. Clinton's husband has been chastised on a number of issues. A USA Today Op-Ed piece suggests spouses are not entitled to blanket immunity:
It's natural that candidates want to shelter their spouses, who aren't on the ballot, from scrutiny and criticism. And it's understandable that they would seek to apply some parameters of privacy and decency to a campaign likely to have little of either by the time it's all over. But it's hard to see why these spouses deserve the protections the candidates advocate. Are candidates' spouses fair game and a legitimate consideration for voters or should they be "off limits" for scrutiny?

How to Make Black America Better

Let us just stick to the
Let us just stick to the 'real issues' and not the distractions. Hitlary still has not released her tax return. [What's up with that?] Mcshame is obviously unable to focus on any one issue for less than mere seconds...I mean please do not insult our intelligence. What does the terminology "FAIR GAME" really mean? Game is an animal or something that one would play. Politricks is still politricks. DAMN, DAMN, DAMN! Let's get a grip and not get blindsided by the make-believe. The Devil is a liar.
Can we please stick to the
Can we please stick to the candidates and the issues? I understand people want to see who their candidate is tied to but I think this election has gone way too far with that stuff. People probably know Rev. Wright better than they know Barack.

“But it’s hard to see why these spouses deserve the protections the candidates advocate.” “Are candidates’ spouses fair game and a legitimate consideration for voters or should they be “off limits” for scrutiny?”
Even though spouses deserve the protection; it is unfortunate but fair game. Every candidate and his/her spouse will be spotlighted, scrutinized, ridiculed, and reduced to the lowest denominator before the campaign is over.
This is why the candidates should be ready for any and everything when running for the President of The United States of America.
My friends and I for one have offered up many criticisms towards candidate and spouses, for instance: John McCain to us is insane McCain, with Botox Barbie as his wife. Botox Barbie is hiding tax papers and almost always has a surprised look on her face; she looks superficial. If she gets any more Botox in the future, Botox Barbie is sure to crack under pressure.
We often laugh about McCain running for president, especially after being tortured for five years while he was held hostage. To us that’s like a mental patient running for president. Not fair, but true. We often ask each other: what if Senator McCain has flashbacks of his hostage situation, we all would be in serious trouble. As CNN reports, the sound of keys trigger a setback for McCain; okay do we really want him running the White House with mental issues? It’s harsh; but these are fair questions to ask yourself. Pay attention to the substance.
Senator Hilary Clinton, we often call her stucco teeth. Her teeth are the color of a caution signal light. And to put the icing on the cake, she looks like a ventriloquist doll, when she smiles. Are these important issues that concern many Americans; no, but a great laugh, yes indeed. I and my friends often ask if Hilary “mints before she vents”. Not at all right, but in our silly gatherings, laughter comes at someone's expense.
So, yes all spouses are unfortunate but fair game. After the silly season is over, we cut through the nonsense (but a great laugh) to see the real issues of the day.
Spotlights are hot and harsh. The light is revealing; nothing is hidden from the world under the spotlight. It’s like running yourself through an MRI machine, everything is seen. So hey, if the heat gets hot, look around you and see what atmosphere you have voluntarily walked in.
