Civil Rights and Generation y
Generation y following Generation X, has president OBAMA to relate civil rights to.
Disappointment (GEN - Y)
I think that the present generation (GEN -Y) is probably proud of their open mindedness; but, very disappointed in the elder generation. My reason for saying this is because "We as Americans" have not shown the respect to the present President that his position deserves. There are many individuals that judge this President by their inner dislikes rather than by his abilities. I know that RACE is that hidden x factor in this matter. Many try to say that this President is not qualified or this and that. Yet, most of us know that the bottom line truth is the COLOR of his skin. I want to thank and commend the GEN-Y for all of their hard and dedicated efforts to HELP BRING ABOUT CHANGE. But the faithful people who truly believe in GOD and the following of Jesus Christ, know real change will be Ordained by GOD. I pray for this Ole World daily.
What everyone needs to know.......
Hi, I like this comment, and I totally agree, too many folks as in the earlier days, are yet discriminative, and a bit ignorant for letting color or any difference be a determining factor of a particular person's abilities, and as been said as well as proven, (the more things change the more they stay the same) actually if you asked me I'll agree that they seem to be getting worser, no respect for the president because of his racial ethnicity, I mean all these negative comments and things they have been saying,
and then that bull crap by Bill Clinton, oh how careful we must be with trusting others, but yet they are spiteful and full of deceit, we as children of God, believers of the one true Christ, we must continue to pray for them, and I know that there are some that may not agree with me, but so be it.....
Anyhow I wanted to give you all a piece of me, my award winning, truthful and inspiring poem, that God Himself has gifted to me,
God Don't Discriminate!!!
Waiting for my goverment check, month by month day by day and still what the heck,
I'm in a situation where I consider myself poor, but I don't deserve to be treated like trash I can't take no more,
I have spent all my life in poverty pain and tribulations, if I could I would snap my fingers and change all nations,
But God has a plan and when He sees fit, there will be an end to tragedy it will all be over with,
But in the meantime treat one another with love and respect, the good you do on earth God never forgets,
People look different shape size and color, but we're all still the same in one way or the other,
So when God blesses He Don't Discriminate, so why do you, are you that full of hate?
To all the so called superiors, leaders, teachers, religious figures, whites, blacks, etc., we all are the same in God's sight, yes, He loves us all, we just need to lean to respect and accept each other's differences.........
